Memphis Public Libraries welcomes visits by local school and classroom groups to experience our award-winning libraries. We are firm believers children who are introduced to their local libraries are more likely to become regular library users in the future. All groups requesting a tour must submit their request at least two weeks prior to their planned visit. Providing notice will allow us to provide your students with a great learning experience.

Tours are available on TUESDAY mornings. (10:00 AM – 11:00 AM) Once the tour has been scheduled, you will receive a written notice regarding your tour date. If a tour group must cancel, notification should be given at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled tour date.

We can accommodate groups, but not exceeding 30 participants. There must be a least two adult chaperones for school groups.  Please email Ashley Gipson at ashley.gipson@memphistn.gov
